Jenny Eclair is an old mate of ours, and was blackmailed into being our first patron when she asked Alex to fix a necklace for her Mum.

Jeremy is an old friend and we neeeearly talked him in to coming all the way. Too much exciting news to report on, but he'll come along for a stage or two..

Lloyd's old mate Chiwetel Ejiofor saved the world in '2012' but he's leaving it to us to do all the hard work. 'Go for it guys, best of luck and make sure Lloyd gets back in one piece'.

NEWS: We will be keeping the site open for a while as donations are still coming in. The Eye Cycle Team want to thank all donors for their enormous generosity. Come back to the site soon as we will be posting a final report plus photos.

Donations have now reached over £17,500 from more than 240 donors!

Day 14: The Eye Cycle Team, Alex Monroe, Lloyd Hutchinson and John Greenwood cycle an amazing 108 miles on their last day to reach John O’Groats. Stats: 1,027.5 miles, 88.54 hours cycling, average speed 11.55 miles per hour, max speed achieved 44.21 miles per hour.

D ay 11: The Eye Cycle Team, Lloyd Hutchinson, John Greenwood and Alex Monroe reach Glencoe.

Scientist John Greenwood, Actor Lloyd Hutchinson, and Jeweller Alex Monroe take on the 1000 mile Land’s End to John O’Groats cycle ride, 1st to 14th July. They will be raising money for ‘Fight for Sight’ for much needed research into the causes and treatment of eye disease, and will be joined by friends along the way including Jeremy Bowen, Mark Francis, Steve Moss, Mike Cheetham, Peter Lundh von Leithner, David Burgin, Paul Chapple and Sergey Novoselov.
